Fat-dissolving in Alexandria.
The double chin that diet doesn't touch, a soft jawline, a small pocket that won't go. Injections that break down the fat cells for good — over a few planned sessions, with no surgery.
What fat-dissolving does.
The injection is deoxycholic acid, a copy of a substance your body uses to digest fat. Placed into a small pocket of fat, it breaks the fat cells down; the body clears them over the following weeks. Cells that are destroyed don't come back, so the result is lasting as long as your weight is stable.
It is for small, defined areas: the double chin above all, the jowls, and sometimes a small pocket on the body. It isn't for weight loss and it isn't for loose skin. It usually takes 2 to 4 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, and each one brings a week of swelling that is part of the treatment working.
Small area, lasting change.
Done well, it is the closest thing to a non-surgical chin liposuction. Done on the wrong person, it is a wasted month of swelling. The consultation decides.

- Swelling & the next sessionExpect real swelling for 5–7 days, sometimes numbness or firmness for a few weeks. That is the fat breaking down. We see you at 4–6 weeks and plan the next round.
Questions people ask.
Does it really remove a double chin?
For a pocket of fat under the chin, in someone with reasonable skin and a stable weight, yes — it is the treatment with the best evidence outside surgery. It won't help if the problem is loose skin or a small jaw.
How many sessions do I need?
Usually 2 to 4, four to six weeks apart. A small pocket may need two; a larger one four. You see the result from each session after 4–6 weeks.
How much swelling, and for how long?
The area swells noticeably for 5 to 7 days after each session, sometimes with firmness or numbness for a few weeks. It is part of the treatment, not a side effect. Plan it well away from events.
Is it permanent?
The fat cells that are destroyed don't return. If you gain a lot of weight the remaining cells can grow, so the result lasts as long as your weight is roughly stable.
Does it hurt?
A burning sensation for a few minutes during and after the injections, then an ache for a day. We use numbing cream and cold, and you can take paracetamol.
Fat-dissolving or liposuction?
For a small pocket, injections give a comparable result with no surgery, no anaesthesia and no scar, spread over a few months. For a large area, liposuction is still the answer.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the area and the number of sessions. Dr. Sara gives you the exact plan and its cost at the consultation, before any treatment.
